The Dragon is coming, and the only thing that will contain him is the Artifact restored to its former glory.

Jen’s life changed utterly the day the Artifact came into her possession. Broken, she seeks the pages to restore it in the hope she will be able to prevent the end of days. Necromancers, monsters in human form and friends distinctly non-human, Jen has to weigh every decision in the knowledge that she too will be judged by her actions.

Meanwhile Decim is on the road to discovering who he is and the ties that bind him to  Perdition.

Demons and Angels. What happens if the Book used to judge souls on Judgement Day has been broken and lost? Jen receives a book from a customer and promises to look after it, not realising how many people are looking for it and that not all are sane or even human. She travels from the heights of the Halcyon place to the depths of Perdition in her efforts to find its lost pages and for a way home - any home.
